woo-hoo! Nice work. =) We have one IN our swamp cooler, and another hopped onto one of its panels when "Bear" was fixing it. Right now it leaks water, so they LOVE that corner of our property.
The amphibians in our yard have gone into hiding from the heat. I'm afraid a grackle got one. Unless it was an unfledged nestling in its beak. Ah, nature.
Just to be clear: I don't work at the National Zoo--I just live near it. I'm originally from Detroit, most recently from Boston (where I got my Ph.D. in biology from Tufts University), and am now living in Washington, DC.
