I couldn't figure out a better way to tell you, so my apologies for leaving this as a comment, but I figured that since you are based in DC, you might be interested in the DCscitweetup. It's a monthly gathering of scientists, science writers, bloggers, etc. I'll be in town for the one this Tuesday, and it'd be great to meet you. We'll be at Elephant & Castle on 19th St, starting at 5:30pm if you want to join us.
