Zoo Stories from a Marine Biologist in DC
I assume you mean what is it besides TOTALLY super ULTRA cool, yes?matotalguess:1. bottom layer is a sandy waterbody edge, scalloped by wave action & resulting in the super cool DARK shadows via low angle light.2. top layer is reflection of either a high and pale cliff-kinda-thing? or some freaky white cloud action, or both?3. optional rainbow effect on the left is perchance from some oily seepage so, if natural in origin, is this a biologically productive (like adjacent wetland) or naturally oily place (e.g., Santa Barbara in CA floats oily blobs all the time, so this would be a much milder version)?4. Wow, it sure is quiet wayyyyyy out here in Super-Duper Guessing Land. Hellooooo? Is anybody out here with me?? =) 5. What could it be? Uh, only one of my FAVORITE natural photo types EVER, which is beautiful and mysterious and ABSTRACT. Yum.6. A secret portal if you dive straight in (despite apparent 6" depth).
Those are FABULOUS guesses, and almost make up for the silence you observed among other readers (c'mon, guys, it's just a guess!)And thanks for the kind words about the shot!I will let the suspense build a little longer before revealing more about the photo.
